Tips for Using the Price Guide

Update Often But Not Too Often

With your price guide subscription you can download the new prices every day, they will be updated by 8am EST. But most games don't change in price significantly during 24 hours. We recommend downloading the file once a week or once every two weeks. If you organize the price guide every time you download it you might want to extend this to once a month so you don't have to organize too often.

Organize The Data If You Print The Guide

Some retail stores print the price guide and store the printed guides behind the sales counter. They pull out the guide whenever a customer wants to trade a game in or if they have a game they aren't sure the value of. This process is much easier if the data is sorted by console. Integrate The Guide With Your POS

Most retail price guide subscribers have their game inventory and prices stored in their Point-Of-Sale system or some other computer system. The best way to use the Retailer Price Guide is to download the guide to the same place every time you access it. Then have your POS programmer integrate your system with the .CSV file we provide. It takes some effort initially, but future price updates take less than a minute which gives you more time to run your game store.
